UV Protective Clothing

UV Protective Clothing offers the best protection from harmful ultraviolet sun rays, especially when you are outside or exposed to sun during summers, or on beaches. It is obvious that, more the skin is covered by the clothing, the better is the protection offered. The sun protective clothing usually comes with a UPF or Ultraviolet Protection Factor label that indicates the amount of UV rays blocked by the apparel. We have a whole range of specialized garments with sun protection material to keep you safe from health hazards related to UV rays!

How do UV Protective Clothing work?

  • UV protection clothes work in a simple way to protect the skin from harmful effects of the sun.
  • They have very tightly woven fabrics to prevent the UV rays from penetrating through the clothes. Some fabrics also contain minerals like zinc and titanium to help reflect the UV rays.
  • UV protective clothing is rated using UPF or ultraviolet protection factor. UPF is similar to SPF and is used to indicate the sun blocking capacity of clothes from ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) light.
  • UPF 50+ is the highest rating allowed by any national standard in the world.
  • The factors that may influence the UPF ratings are fabric type, weave, color, humidity and wetness, and wear and tear.
